They ask why
What pleasure will arrive
To go over seas
Just a swarm of bees
*+*
Keep your faith
It’s just not safe
Just stay at home
You only want to be known
*+*
Pity. Hate. Confusion.
Only causing division
The truth is simple
The small little dimple
*+*
Their smiles as they see
“They’re here for me”
Their laugh as they play
They wish for us to stay
*+*
They give what little
They never settle
Just wanting love
An innocent dove
*+*
Forever they’ll remember
Not just to September
But on and on
With every morning dawn
*+*
All, young and old
All, shy and bold
See bright shinning hope
Yet we aren’t popes
*+*
Just normal people
Who need no steeple
Who shine our light
Though the darkest night
*+*
I enjoyed reading this little poem so much. It resonates with me because this is exactly how I felt after my mission trip to Toronto 💗🥹
