Across the murky water, silence stood
Hovering just beyond where I could reach
And always hiding behind its darkened hood
Something like sorrow splitting through my breach
All shadows and blurs and slow mumbled speech
Shivers ran and howled all through the night
Loud and bold, causing such a dreadful sight
Til the sun peeks over the horizon
Scaring away all the foes and the fright
That are plagued and dead from foul corruption
